Tatyana Gribtsova Thrapp
Born in the former Soviet Union and now living in Manhattan, Tatyana’s journey as an artist is one of resilience, rediscovery, and expression. Though she always carried an instinct for art since her college years, it was only six years ago that she began producing professional work — a late yet powerful flowering of creativity.
After immigrating to United States of America in 1998, she built a new life as a real estate agent while raising two children and now celebrates the joy of five grandchildren. Through it all, art remained her quiet companion — a language beyond words, a reflection of both struggle and beauty.
Her paintings draw upon memory, emotion, and intuition. With bold colors and layered textures, she seeks to transform inner feelings into shared experience.
Her works have been exhibited in several group shows in New York City, earning recognition from curators and fellow artists alike. Today, she continues to paint in her Manhattan home, exploring new ways to express the richness of life.
“For me, painting is not simply making images. It is finding freedom, breathing, and giving form to what cannot be spoken.” – Tatyana Gribtsova Thrapp
