Brooklyn Sheepshead Bay Library Exhibition (2024)

In the spring of 2024, Tatyana Thrapp presented four of her works at the Sheepshead Bay branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, curated and displayed under the direction of the library’s leadership.

This exhibition marked an important milestone in her artistic journey, bringing her paintings into a community space where art meets everyday life. Surrounded by books, stories, and learning, her canvases offered another kind of narrative — one told through color, texture, and imagination.

The works chosen reflected both her lyrical abstract style and her deep connection to memory and expression. Visitors discovered in them a quiet strength, an emotional resonance that lingered long after leaving the library walls.

“Showing my art in Brooklyn felt like opening a conversation with the city itself,” Tatyana shared. “It was a chance to let the work breathe in a public space and invite anyone — whether they came for books or for art — to pause and reflect.”

Harlem Art Festival – 127th Street & 2nd Avenue

(July 27, 2025)

On a vibrant summer day in July 2025, Tatyana Thrapp shared six of her works at the Harlem Art Festival, held at the crossroads of 127th Street and 2nd Avenue. The festival, known for celebrating diverse voices and creative expression, became a stage for her abstract canvases to connect with a wider audience.

Set against the energy of Harlem — a neighborhood rich in artistic legacy and cultural rhythm — her paintings offered moments of pause and reflection. Each piece carried fragments of memory and emotion, reimagined through color and movement, standing in dialogue with the community’s dynamic spirit.

The response was warm and engaging, with many festival-goers stopping to take in the depth and openness of her work. For Tatyana, it was both an honor and a joy to share her vision in a setting that celebrates creativity in all its forms.

“Harlem has such a powerful artistic heartbeat,” Tatyana reflected. “To have my paintings become part of that pulse, even for a day, was unforgettable.”

Conjuration – Hiding In Plain View, ACP Jr. Blvd163 (August 22nd, 25th and 27th 2025)

On August 19, 2025, Tatyana Thrapp joined the exhibition “Conjuration – Hiding In Plain View” at ACP Jr. Blvd163, West 125th Street, curated by Greg Mills. Two of her signature works, Pushkin and Monk, were selected for display, each reflecting her ability to merge memory, history, and abstraction into powerful visual language.

The exhibition brings together artists whose works explore what is hidden in everyday sight — the overlooked, the symbolic, the truths that live just beneath the surface. Within this context, Tatyana’s paintings resonate as meditations on identity, culture, and spirit.

Visitors are invited to stand before Pushkin and Monk not as observers, but as participants in a quiet dialogue, uncovering new layers of meaning with each glance.

“To see my works in this exhibition is to feel them surrounded by voices in harmony — each piece revealing what cannot be said in words,” Tatyana shared.

This exhibition is currently on view, offering a chance to encounter her art within a rich and thought-provoking curatorial vision.
